This Spring 2026 Trainee position is from the January 12, 19 or 26, 2026 to June 26th, 2026 (start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This type of opportunity will jump-start your career and prepare you for a career in the desired field. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available.
The Columbia Pictures Story Department provides coverage for the Motion Picture Group, distributes feature screenplays, and maintains a database of scripts and coverages.
Responsibilities:
Electronic distribution of confidential and secret material
Organizing database of scripts and coverage
Generating reports from database
Corresponding with various departments throughout Sony
Expense reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
An interest in the process of feature film development or screenwriting
Attention to detail
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
Must be able to handle confidential material in a sensitive manner
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Final Draft
Punctual
Organized
Pro-active
