Role Overview

The Insights, Strategy & Analytics Sr. Manager for Jeopardy! + Nonfiction & Scripted serves as the strategic business partner responsible for shaping the continued evolution and long-term success of one of television's most iconic and enduring franchises. The Sr Manager will also support GSN Network brand and audience insights.

Working across Production, Development, Marketing, PR, Franchise Management, and executive leadership, this role combines audience insights, business intelligence, and strategic planning to drive franchise growth, inform executive decision-making, and identify opportunities to deepen audience engagement of our game shows across platforms.

This Sr. Manager leads and serves as the voice of the audience and marketplace, translating consumer insights, audience intelligence, business performance, and cultural trends into strategies that strengthen the Jeopardy! brand while supporting the development of new franchise extensions, spin-offs, and other original game show concepts. The role also oversees executive reporting and performance measurement across linear television, cable, streaming, digital, and social platforms. This role also supports ISA’s Nonfiction & Scripted leads as needed.

Success in this role requires exceptional strategic thinking, analytical rigor, executive communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence decisions across a highly matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

1. Franchise Strategy & Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to franchise leadership, helping shape the long-term vision, priorities, and growth strategy for Jeopardy! and other key Nonfiction series.
  • Develop a holistic view of franchise health by integrating audience performance, consumer insights, brand equity, competitive intelligence, marketplace trends, and business performance.
  • Identify emerging audience, marketplace, technology, and cultural trends that create opportunities for franchise growth while preserving the unique identity of Jeopardy! and our key Nonfiction series.

2. Audience Insights, Research & Analytics

  • Lead audience and consumer insights that inform production, marketing, brand strategy, development, and franchise growth.
  • Own audience performance reporting across linear television, cable, streaming, digital, and social platforms, delivering executive-ready analyses that provide a comprehensive view of franchise performance.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics teams to design and implement scalable dashboards, automated reporting, forecasting models, and advanced analytics capabilities.
  • Analyze audience behavior, cross-platform viewership, consumer trends, and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities to strengthen engagement and expand reach.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research programs, including focus groups, surveys, online communities, audience segmentation, and custom research studies.
  • Lead episode testing, dial testing, concept testing, and audience feedback research to optimize gameplay, pacing, storytelling, talent, and overall viewer experience.
  • Evaluate marketing and creative assets—including key art, taglines, trailers, and promotional campaigns—to maximize audience appeal and campaign effectiveness.
  • Translate research and analytics into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

3. Franchise Growth & Development

  • Partner with Development and Production to evaluate new Jeopardy! spin-offs, franchise extensions, and other original game show concepts (including GSN series) through audience insights, consumer research, competitive analysis, and market opportunity assessment.
  • Identify opportunities that thoughtfully extend the Jeopardy! brand across new platforms, experiences, and business ventures.
  • Support the broader Game Shows and Nonfiction business by identifying opportunities for new formats, programming, and franchise innovation.

4) Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the broader Insights, Strategy & Analytics team to deliver integrated, forward-looking insights that connect audience behavior, marketplace trends, and business performance into a cohesive strategic narrative.
  • Serve as a connector across functions, aligning stakeholders around a shared understanding of performance, opportunities, and strategic priorities to drive informed, cross-functional decision-making.
  • Operate as a highly consultative business partner—not simply a reporting resource—proactively identifying opportunities, framing strategic questions, and translating complex data into clear recommendations that influence programming, marketing, distribution, and commercial decisions.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience leading strategy, insights, analytics, research, business intelligence, consulting, or business planning within media, entertainment, consumer brands, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize audience, consumer, marketplace, and business performance data into strategic recommendations that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of television, streaming, digital media, social platforms, and the evolving entertainment ecosystem.
  • Experience partnering with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Data Science, or Analytics teams to build dashboards, automated reporting, forecasting models, and advanced analytical capabilities.

  • Hands-on experience with Nielsen audience measurement and cross-platform viewership reporting, including NPower, NNTV, Total Content Ratings, WRAP, NLTV, and related audience measurement tools.
  • Experience with social listening and cultural intelligence platforms such as Talkwalker, ListenFirst, ViralMoment, or similar tools.
