Sr. Analyst, Payroll

This role will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day tax administration tasks. In this role, the candidate must demonstrate a strong knowledge of payroll processes and financial processes as it relates to payroll, attention to detail, collaboration skills, and a work history that clearly demonstrates job stability with increasing levels of responsibility.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Adds new earning and deduction codes and tax jurisdictions

  • Perform Pre-Open and Pre-Check Tax Audits

  • Perform employee level balancing of deductions

  • Validate testing for tax updates

  • Research laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures

  • Work with Operation team to respond to payroll related inquiries/cases

  • Work with the Finance team for any month-end close payroll related activities

  • Provide Financial reports for the Line of Business

  • Assist in researching GL issues

Experience/Skills:

  • AS degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in payroll

  • Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPC)

  • Multi-state taxation knowledge

  • Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented, oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Advance computer skills: Microsoft Excel

  • Prior UKG Pro experience, highly desirable

The anticipated base salary for this position is $78,000 - $98,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
