ID da oferta JR108543 Candidatar-se Exibir vagas salvasThe Senior Manager, Social Media plays a pivotal role in shaping, executing, and evolving the social media strategy across Sony Pictures’ theatrical slate and studio-wide initiatives. This position is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and long-term planning of social campaigns across all major platforms, including TikTok, Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp), X, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, and emerging platforms. This includes managing the studio’s master handles and special initiatives, driving cultural relevance, and ensuring consistency across every social media touchpoint.
In this role, the Senior Manager serves as the senior community manager, developing tailored voice and tone for each campaign while engaging with fans, talent, and partners to cultivate strong, authentic connections with audiences. They also oversee social account setup, verification, and content management.
This individual leads cross-divisional alignment efforts, including managing the One Sony social meeting, uniting teams from Sony Music, Sony Pictures Television, Sony Pictures Animation, Sony Corporate, and Sony Pictures Classics to drive synergy and collaboration. The role also manages partnerships and collaborative social strategy with PlayStation, Crunchyroll and other Sony entities.
The Senior Manager serves as a central resource for social media best practices, working closely with marketing, publicity, media, creative, and influencer teams. They provide content strategy guidance, manage platform relationships, coordinate live event coverage, and offer campaign performance insights through reporting tools like the Organic Social Index and Weekly Organic Social Insights.
Working in close partnership with the Digital Creative Pod Leads and Influencer Leads, this role oversees the development and deployment of best-in-class social creative — from trailer launches to platform-native assets like Reels, Stories, TikToks, and GIFs. They will also lead evergreen and franchise content strategy, helping shape the studio's always-on social presence and support long-term IP planning.
This role collaborates directly with social platform partners to streamline the launch of key campaign materials and accelerate approvals or requests. With a keen understanding of what drives audience engagement, they identify content and trends that spark conversation and ensure they are integrated into each campaign’s strategy. Leveraging the latest tools and features across platforms, they plan and leads live social coverage at press junkets, premieres, and special events — delivering real-time, high-impact content that captures the energy of each moment and keeps fans engaged.
The Senior Manager will demonstrate a deep understanding of evolving platform tools, consumer behaviors, and creative innovation to ensure Sony Pictures remains a digital-first, fan-focused, and industry-leading entertainment brand online.
Core Responsibilities:
1. SOCIAL PAGE MANAGEMENT & PARTNERSHIP RELATIONS
Oversee social account setup, verification and launch for each film. Manage all material launches on each social page, scheduling and identifying the needs for talent and partners to share. Collaborate with social platform partners including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), X and TikTok to expedite requests and maximize the resources and tools available on each platform. 40%
2. COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT
Serve on the frontlines of communication between the consumer and the studio. Promote positive brand conversation and engagement as well as engaging with talent, fan site and partner posts. 20%
3. SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY
Create a social tone/voice for each film campaign including that of the Sony Pictures handles. Strategize and implement custom content and social activations unique to each film. 15%
4. EVERGREEN SOCIAL CREATIVE / FRANCHISE DEVELOPMENT
Keep finger on the pulse of social trends, new platform features and best practices to apply to evergreen social content for the Sony Pictures social handles. Develop and execute long-term social strategies for the studio’s franchises. 10%
5. ONE SONY SOCIAL SYNERGY
Spearhead monthly meetings and ongoing communications uniting the social teams across all Sony verticals. Serve as a source for cross-divisional support while identifying opportunities for synergy. 10%
6. OTHER PROJECTS / REPORTING / PRESENTATIONS
Update Film Key Dates and report weekly on digital content performance. Present various topics to either the Digital Marketing Team or other internal/external audiences. 5%
Job Requirements:
Social Media/Marketing background
Well versed on creating content and identifying trends on social platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), X, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok and Giphy
Uploading and scheduling social assets on each social platform
Digital publishing landscape including top websites in the following categories: Movies, Entertainment, Technology, Video, Male and Female Lifestyle, News
Digital Reporting Tools including ListenFirst, Crimson Hexagon, Google/Adobe Analytics, and Social Platform Insights
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop
Self-starter with high level of initiative
Passionate, committed with a high level of energy
Strong sense of ownership and urgency
Must have an open communication style which takes into account managing expectations with multiple stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in Social Media Campaigns/Digital Marketing
Bachelor's degree in related field
Publicity experience a plus
