Position Summary

Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking an Director, Finance to serve as the primary strategic finance partner to the EVP, Head of YouTube and Social Platforms, Strategy & Operations. This role will lead financial planning, investment governance, business performance management and executive decision support for SPE's global YouTube and social platform portfolio. The Director will bring financial rigor to decisions across channel growth, monetization, content and marketing investment, platform expansion, partnerships and emerging business opportunities, with a focus on profitable growth and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary finance partner to the EVP and senior leadership, translating business strategy into financial priorities, operating plans and actionable recommendations.
• Lead the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, long-range planning and monthly business performance reviews for the YouTube and Social Platforms organization.
• Own executive financial reporting and business reviews, including materials and recommendations for Studio leadership, the CFO organization and Sony corporate management.
• Evaluate business cases for new channels, platform expansion, content and marketing investments, technology initiatives, partnerships, licensing opportunities and other strategic growth initiatives.
• Lead portfolio prioritization and resource allocation analysis across channels, franchises, regions and growth initiatives using ROI, profitability, channel economics and strategic value frameworks.
• Develop and oversee revenue forecasting and monetization models spanning advertising, licensing and other digital revenue opportunities.
• Establish financial KPIs and executive dashboards that measure revenue growth, profitability, ROI, engagement, channel health and operating efficiency.
• Build scenario analyses around content performance, platform or algorithm changes, market shifts and emerging monetization models to inform executive decisions.
• Establish disciplined financial governance, investment approval processes and performance tracking while maintaining the agility required for a fast-moving digital business.
• Identify operating efficiencies and cost optimization opportunities that enable scalable, sustainable growth.
• Partner across all Line of Businesses, Strategy, Marketing, Distribution, Franchise Management, Analytics, Legal, Business Affairs, Accounting, Tax, and Corporate FP&A to align financial and business decisions across SPE.
• Provide leadership and development to the finance team supporting the business and help build scalable planning, reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Drive the adoption of AI, automation, and advanced analytics to enhance business insights, improve forecasting and decision-making, and increase organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance or a related discipline; experience supporting digital media, streaming, technology, platform or entertainment businesses strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, investment analysis, portfolio economics, business case development and executive decision support.
• Experience leading planning and forecasting processes in a complex, highly matrixed global organization.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives through clear financial insights, sound judgment and strategic recommendations.
• Strong understanding of high-growth digital business models, revenue drivers, operating metrics and investment trade-offs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into concise executive-level narratives.
• Strong leadership, collaboration and stakeholder-management capabilities, with a high level of accountability and integrity.
• Experience utilizing artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics tools to drive innovation, enhance efficiency, and support data-driven decision making.

• Possess a “can-do” attitude for all situations, no task too big or too small to handle.
• Great judgement and decisiveness when dealing with deadline-driven, finance-related issues and concerns
• Think outside the box & challenge status quo when required by highlighting new trends, improving existing processes or are open to sourcing those ideas from others
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.

This role will be central to shaping the financial discipline, insight and decision-making framework needed to support SPE’s continued growth across YouTube and Social Platforms, ensuring the business can scale with focus, agility and long-term value creation.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $165,000 - $205,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
