ID da oferta JR108169 Candidatar-se Exibir vagas salvasWe have an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the TV Music Creative department at Sony TV Studio as Coordinator, TV Music Creative. The position entails working with Music Affairs, TV productions, music labels, music publishers, agents, managers, music artists, composers and music supervisors to support the music needs of TV productions.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the SVP TV Music, including calendar, phones, T&E etc.
- For assigned television projects, deliver original music and coordinate those activities with the cue sheet team
- Review credits and music assets to confirm their accuracy
- Update internal charts and status reports dealing with budgets, personnel, and similar essential information
- Assist with intake and upload of music for the department’s music drive, including essential metadata on all digital tracks on DISCO
- Retrieve all assets and liaise with the Sony Pictures Soundtrack team for any Sony Pictures Television releases
- Conduct music searches and research for productions and marketing initiatives
- Research: obtain correct song and artist information, check on worldwide public domain status of songs and get proper music arrangements/transcriptions, acquisition of correct sheet music for productions; retrieve artist manager and/or agent contact information
- Review scripts and the different cuts of programs. Help with music breakdowns of scripts, escalate issues as needed
- Assist the SVP in identifying and presenting composers and music supervisors for projects.
- On projects that are music supervised in-house, work with the department on identifying music that is appropriate for individual productions and making sure they are also cost-effective options to be presented to those productions.
- Attend meetings, and when appropriate, spotting and mix sessions
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- BA/BS/MS in film, tv, music, business, communications, etc.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience at a film, television or music-related company
- Knowledge of current trends in television music (composers, supervisors, artists) knowing music licensing a plus
- Passion for television music, visual media, music supervision.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize; works well under pressure and tight deadlines and has a customer-oriented approach
